Walking your dog is necessary for his well-being and can slowly blossom into a rewarding experience for you and your pooch and a chance for you to exercise your muscles after a long day at the office. The following tips will surely help you master the art of dog walking so you can make the most out of it no matter the season. Let’s go!
Give yourself enough time for the dog walk
Dogs, like humans, are diurnal, so taking walks in the morning is ideal. I recommend setting aside thirty minutes to a full hour.

If you’re going to be walking for more than a half hour or out in the hot weather bring plenty of water along for your dog.

Just because your dog is friendly doesn’t mean every dog to dog meeting will be pleasant. Avoid any unnecessary risk by asking before letting your dog approach another dog.

Rest when necessary and get shade
Don’t overdo it when getting your dog used to walking with you, especially if this is the first time on a collar and leash.

Could you please as well write an article on how to motivate myself to walk my dog at 6 AM?
I can’t think of everything Cindy… haha. 🙂
The mission is impossible haha
Josh, you’re always up that early anyway I thought!
That is true. But I’m still moving slow at 6am.
